Author Welcome

Merry Christmas to all reading this initial post on my new story blog. Though I’m writing this on Christmas Day I’m still putting the finishing touches on the blog design and won’t be posting any story content until sometime in January. Mainly this post is just meant to get the blog started and to give me the chance to welcome everyone who will be joining me from the start to the adventure (that welcome extends to everyone reading this in post as well). I would also like to take this opportunity to talk about some of the things I’ll be doing with this story blog.

So the first major difference from my other story blog (to those waiting for me to continue I’m afraid to say that I’m putting it on indefinite hiatus until my coauthor and I have both improved as writers) is that I’m keeping everything under a single blog. My personally commentary will be a part of the blog as well as any necessary lore and likely more sporadic in appearances. That is another difference which is that I have no intention of trying to establish a set schedule until I’ve found a good rhythm, so until then please subscribe or follow me on Google Plus and/or Twitter to see when I’m posting.

On the topic of lore I’ll be keeping things in story in the form of diary updates from one of the main characters. In this way I’ll be able to better demonstrate how the world appears to those who live in it as well providing insight to the protagonist’s viewpoint.

Other little things I’ll be doing include a bit of graphic presentation. Despite the blog background though, it won’t be anything so dramatic on the artistic side. Instead I’ll be using super deformed (SD) drawings like the one at the start of this post to lightly preview the contents of the post. At this point in time I’ll primarily only be using the two main characters but as the cast grows I may whip up a few more characters to use. We’ll see how it goes ^_^

There will probably be all sorts of additional differences that crop up over the life of the blog, especially since I’m flying solo for this story, but for now I want to welcome all of my readers to the story yet to come. A fantasy adventure with the Chainmail Maiden awaits us next year. I’ll see everyone then and thanks for joining me and our intrepid adventurers.
